College Track Emergency Fund Request Form

What is Emergency Fund?

  • College Track offers a grant to scholars who are active in College Thrive programming and are facing unexpected, emergency situations for which no financial aid or other assistance is available.
  • This is a grant for scholars with eligible emergency expenses , and no other means to pay / have explored alternative financial options available to them.
  • In the vast majority of cases, this grant can only cover a number of non-cost of attendance items.
  • In rare cases, scholars may be eligible for select cost of attendance items, if they meet special exception criteria.
    • If you are eligible for a special exception, the form will allow you to request funds for tuition and fees, university health insurance, or university housing/meals/utilities.

When can College Track scholars request & access Emergency Funds?

  • Any time during the year. This can occur as early as July 1st and as late as June 20th of each year.
  • Although the scholar request form will be open all year, please note College Track cannot review or process requests on National holidays or other org-wide/ College Track holidays.
  • As such, expect delays during the following ‘No Payments Weeks.’
  • For support with this application, please reach out to your College Thrive Coach, or reference the FY26 Emergency Fund Application Guide.

How & When are Emergency Funds paid?

  • Most often, funds will be paid directly to the vendor/payee with a check or electronic check, but in rare cases, a payment may be issued directly to the scholar (with invoice required). As such, payment method and timing may vary (see more info here).
  • Please note we CANNOT reimburse scholars for payments they've already made.
